Zifora — Life Maintenance OS by Hexalian LLC

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Zifora mobile application (“App”) published by Hexalian LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have your parent or guardian’s permission. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

1. Description of Service

Zifora is a life maintenance tracking application that allows users to:

  • Create and manage assets across 5 categories: Home, Vehicle, Documents, Health, and Financial.
  • Schedule recurring maintenance tasks with customizable intervals and smart reminders.
  • Record task completions with costs, notes, photos, and odometer readings.
  • Scan receipts using OCR (on-device text recognition) to auto-fill costs.
  • Use voice input to quickly create tasks via spoken commands (on-device speech recognition).
  • Receive smart local notifications for upcoming tasks, overdue maintenance, and warranty expirations.
  • Receive weather-aware notifications based on your approximate location (e.g., outdoor maintenance alerts).
  • Track maintenance streaks and view cost statistics and insights.
  • Export maintenance reports as PDF documents or ICS calendar files.
  • Use an Android home screen widget for quick access to upcoming tasks.
  • Apply pre-built maintenance templates to quickly set up common tasks.
  • Sync data across devices via Cloud Sync (free for all users with an account).
  • Share assets and tasks with family members via Family Sharing (Pro feature).

The App is available in 6 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, and German.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Plans available: Monthly ($4.99/month), Yearly ($29.99/year), and Lifetime ($49.99 one-time).
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your App Store or Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your device’s store settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple/Google per their respective refund policies.
  • Prices may vary by region; local taxes may apply.
Auto-Renewal Notice: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your payment method on file with the App Store or Google Play will be charged for renewal.

4. Free Trial

The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial. After the trial ends, $29.99/year is charged automatically unless cancelled. Cancel anytime in your device settings during the trial to avoid charges.

5. Restore Purchases

If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your purchases via Settings > Restore Purchases. This verifies your subscription status with the App Store or Google Play.

6. Data Ownership

  • You own all data you create in the App (assets, tasks, completions, photos).
  • All data is stored locally on your device by default. We do not access, transfer, or claim rights to your content.
  • If you enable Cloud Sync, your data (including photos) is stored in Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage under your authenticated account. You can delete this data at any time.
  • OCR-scanned receipt data is processed entirely on your device. Only the extracted cost value is saved; the full receipt text is discarded immediately after processing.
  • Voice input is processed entirely on your device using the OS speech engine. No audio is transmitted to any external server.
  • If you use Family Sharing, shared data is visible only to family members you explicitly invite and accept.
  • You can export your data at any time using the PDF export or ICS calendar export features.

7. OCR and Receipt Scanning

  • The OCR feature uses Google ML Kit Text Recognition, which operates entirely on your device.
  • No receipt images or extracted text are transmitted to any server.
  • The feature is provided “as-is” — accuracy depends on receipt quality, lighting, and format.
  • We are not responsible for incorrect cost extractions. Always verify the extracted amount before saving.

8. Account and Authentication

  • Account creation is optional. Core features work without an account.
  • An account (email/password or Google Sign-In) is required only for Cloud Sync.
  • Email accounts require email verification before Cloud Sync can be activated.
  • You can delete your account and all associated cloud data via Settings > Delete Account.

9. Disclaimer

  • Zifora provides maintenance reminders for informational purposes only.
  • We are not responsible for any damages, losses, or missed maintenance resulting from reliance on the App’s notifications, reminders, or OCR results.
  • The App does not provide professional advice (legal, financial, mechanical, medical, or otherwise).
  • Smart insights and pattern-based recommendations are generated algorithmically and should not be treated as professional maintenance advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hexalian LLC’s total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App for violations of these Terms.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hexalian LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation by contacting us at supportapps@hexalian.com. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in the State of Wyoming, United States. You agree that any arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
